Ground floor (first floor)
Decorative wrought iron main entrance gates lead into a wide brick paved drive and walkways with lushly landscaped gardens containing colorful tropical hibiscus, palms, ficus trees and bourganvillae. Evenings are scented by flowering jasmine. Large garage with electronic garage door opener.
Access to the house is via the mahogany & glass front entrance door, or through the garage into the ground floor hallway, with oak staircase leading up to the living area. The elevator also has access from the garage. Large sliders lead out to the garden and pool area. The open air solar heated swimming pool overlooks Anna Maria Sound. The pool water has a low chlorine content because of the installation of ultra violet sterilization technology and is therefore kind to skin, hair and swimsuits, making it a pleasure to take leisurely swims in fresh, clear water. Surrounding the pool is a brick paved sunbathing area and a pergola entwined with flowering jasmine and bourganvillae which provides a shady area to relax and enjoy a Marguerita or catch up on a little light vacation reading. It is also a great location for watching herons, egrets and pelicans in their natural environment. If boating interests you, then Villa Rosa has its own private boat dock. Boat rentals are available on the island at several marinas; having your own dock allows you to have the pleasure of a boat right outside your door for a few days or for the entire duration of your stay. The boat dock extends 100 feet into the bay and is also great for fishing.
Second floor
Light and glamorous open plan living area with plush, comfortable Ralph Lauren soft furnishings. Wide French windows open onto the Mexican saltillo tile balcony, with decorative wrought iron balustrading, affording panoramic views over the water. Enjoy informal al fresco dining on the comfortable patio furniture and watch families of dolphins swimming in the Bay. A spiral staircase leading down from the balcony provides an alternative access to the pool area.
There are numerous excellent restaurants on the island and the nearby mainland, but if you are considering preparing a few delicious lunches the kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. Appliances in the kitchen are of the highest quality. Ceramic hob style range and fan assisted oven, microwave, Maytag dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer with icemaker & ice water dispenser. Light washed wood kitchen cabinets, equipped with everything you should need. Double sink with waste disposal. The dining area is furnished with charming french style dining table & chairs under a spectacular chandelier, hand crafted in Sarasota. The laundry room is fully equipped with large Maytag washer & dryer. Powder room with toilet and washbasin.
Upper floor (third floor)
Glamorous master bedroom suite with large honey colored marble jacuzzi bath, antique dresser with vanity wash basin, double marble shower, dressing room with extra vanity wash basin. Separate toilet and bidet. Relax in the comfortable pillow top queen size bed with masses of pillows and a designer quilt while watching the boats sailing by in Anna Maria Sound, or take in a movie on the large screen television/VCR. Balcony overlooks the water.
There are two beautifully appointed guest bedrooms with queen size beds, and handmade quilts. The second shower bathroom has classical style fixtures and antique dresser.
Upper hall entrances elevator, bedrooms and oak staircase accessing living area. The house has full central air conditioning system and paddle fans in every room.
